Welcome.

This site is designed to display a selection of my work ranging from pieces produced at Aberdeen College through work done at Grays School of Art to paintings commissioned since graduating.

My University dissertation is also available, it was written as a Critical Evaluation of my abstract pieces and work ethic in my final year at Grays.

Most recently I have sold paintings through ScotlandArt.com, produced commission work and have been featured in the magazine 'Interior Homes Scotland'.

After completing an MSc in Information Technology at Aberdeen University my work has been mostly IT based, though I still work on paintings in my spare time.

Since creating the first version of this site in 2001, it has undergone many changes to its content, look and feel, structure and functionallity.

This encarnation is designed to not just showcase my paintings but to demonstraite my web design and coding skills.

The main page is designed using animated gifs and repeted Jpgs, using a combination of nested tables and CSS rules to dynamically position all elements precisely within any sized browser window. The content is retrieved from a series of external files using PHP, which is also used to retrieve all of the painting information from a MySQL database based on input from the user.
